Man working out on Strength training Strength Training is any kind f physical exercise that uses resistance to create skeletal muscular contraction which builds the strength, anaerobic endurance, and size of the muscle being targeted. When done properly, strength training can have significant functional benefits and gains in a person’s overall health and well-being.

Strength Training commonly uses a progressive increase of force output of a muscle through increasing weight and uses a wide variety of exercises and different types of equipment to target specific muscle groups. Even though Strength training is primarily a anaerobic activity, a person can adapted it to provide the same benefits as aerobic exercises through methods such as circuit training or HIIT (high intensity interval training).
